Description: You get two hardcover books, one with dustjacket. Both are covered in a removable mylar cover. Heidi: Published by Blue Ribbon Books. No dustjacket, probably as issued. Art on boards is actually pretty nice (some art on other issues can be very amateurish) and the color is intact. Illustrations are by Louis Rhead – which are wonderful. There is some blemishes, possible dirt or stains but not very noticeable. The spine is intact but bumped on both top and bottom, and it is sun-faded. The first endpage has a previous owner’s name neatly inscribed in pencil which dates the book to at least 1931. The cover art is replicated on a plate just next to the title page. The copyright page says 1925. The edges of the pages are very soft, browning and perhaps a little soiled. There are colored pages. Heidi Grows Up: Published by Grosset & Dunlap, copyright 1938. Dustjacket is in good condition with chipping along all the edges and spine, protected in a new mylar cover. Blue boards are in Very Good condition, some light bumps to corners and the top of the spine is slightly frayed. Inside covers and end page are colored. The first title page has an inscription. The page next to the title page is a full color frontispiece. There are just two full-page B/W illustrations but there are lots of partial page B/W illustrations.
