Description: Gorgeous and elegant set of four water goblets in the Orchid pattern by Americanglass company, A.H. Heisey. The Orchid pattern, one of Heisey's most popularpattern, was made from 1940 until the company's closure in 1957. They feature an intricate needle-etched pattern of orchid flowers and flower sprays and ribbons against an optic panel bowl in the flared Tyrolean shape. Heisey was the first glass company to make fancy pressed stems to accentuate the lovely blown glass bowls, as is evident with the four glasses above. The glasses measure 8 1/8" tall, 3 3/8" across rim, and hold 8 oz. They are in near perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or cloudiness.
