Weight approx: 1.0 grams A vintage 800 silver and enamel travel charm for the former Henninger Turm in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.It is stamped ANTIKO 800. Designed by Karl Lieser for the Henninger brewery in Frankfurt and built between 1959-1961, the Turm was capable of storing 16,000 tons of barley for beer making. On the top of the 87-meter-tall silo were perched two revolving restaurants and two observation decks. Unfortunately, the Henninger Turm closed on October 31, 2002. It was demolished and on its site, a new Henninger Turm was built that houses residential units. It opened in 2017. * * * * * Photographs show a coin & ruler for scale purposes.
