Description: You're looking at a like new condition and virtually unread version a classic account of The Persian Wars by Greek author HERODOTUS--the book was published as #255 in "The Modern Library" series in 1942 and is a hardcover with the original dust jacket. This book is in very good condition with minimal slight scuffs on the page edges and no other significant damage. The dust jacket has very light dings and a couple of tiny tears on the spine tips, a few slight age spots on the edges of the covers and inner flaps, a slight crease on the upper edge of the front surface and just very light shelfwear. The book is titled The Persian Wars, and it was written by HERODOTUS and translated by GEORGE RAWLINSON with an introduction by F. R. B. GODOLPHIN (former dean of Princeton University). Published by The Modern Library / Random House in 1942. Selections from Herodotus' History follow the events of the great war between the Greeks and the Persians.
