These almost 200 year old copies have some obviously heavy reading and shelf wear, especially along the edges, corners and spine. The cover on Volume I is hanging onto the spine by one or two threads. The previous owner's name is written on the inside of Vol I and "See Vol I" is on the inside of Vol II. Due to the age of both books, there is foxing on both editions. This set of very fragile books would make a great gift for the Napoleon Bonaparte historian or Antique books collector.
