Dixie produced many specialty items for us, especially auto tags. All made in the U.S.A. Here is a sample I purchased many years ago to show clients in the hope of selling them a custom auto tag. Details: The plate is an embossed (3D) aluminum auto tag, size 6" X 12". It has four pre-drilled holes - ready to mount or display. It is still in the original factory cello wrap, hence the glare and imperfections in my photos. As mentioned, rather than just being flat screen printed, the tag is stamped embossed in 3D, giving it more depth and a more striking appearance. Made in the U.S.A. While this sample probably dates from the mid to late 1990's, it is in as NEW condition. Or course, never used or displayed. Rather, it has been kept in a sealed container in one of our climate controlled sample rooms. This nice car tag features a somewhat unusual design, just the word...Horne.
