Description: This postcard features the SMY HOHENZOLLERN II, the Imperial Yacht used by Kaiser Wilhelm II during from 1894-1914. The card is a standard size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches and was manufactured in Germany during the Europe Era before 1914. The front of the postcard features a beautiful illustration of the yacht while the back is undivided and has a hold-to-light feature (windows light up and search light comes on). It was posted in 1899 with a Hamburg cancellation. Hohenzollern II was launched on 27 June 1892,[1] the build completed the same year by AG Vulcan Stettin.
