With slightly larger than typical proportions, this reinvented design achieves a superb, powerful sound and thanks to the extensive consideration given to the ergonomics, it’s extremely comfortable to play. This 12-string acoustic is built with a solid Sitka spruce top and okoume body for a woody, warm tone when the guitar is played softly or fingerpicked and provide punchy high-mids with a clear projection when strummed. An ovangkol fingerboard and bridge provide playing comfort and enhanced resonance. The AAD1012E is equipped with an AP11 pickup, which is small, lightweight and positioned so it won’t inhibit the natural vibrations of the top wood. The pickup generates a highly responsive sound with minimal feedback and delivers a lively response throughout the entire frequency range. The sound is transparent and reflects the guitar’s natural acoustic tone while preserving presence and mid-range.
