Igor was staying at Coco Chanel’s French Villa Bel Respiro in 1921 and apparently felt comfortable enough to have a personalized address stamp. There was a Rumor that the two were having a scandalous relationship behind the scenes and there was even a movie made based on it. Furthermore Coco Chanel created her most famous scent at this time Chanel No.5. This autograph came from the estate of a SMU professor who composed and was a renowned harpsichord player. The frame measures 13 5/8” wide and 7 1/4” tall. The piece is in very good condition, but it appears the envelope or letter that the signature is on is glued to the backing.
