"In His Hands"-Taylor-1982-1st Ed-Author Signed-Unique-Faith Cancer Battle

Description: Offered is the vintage book "In His Hands", written by Ruth King Taylor and published by the Wilkes Publishing Co. in Washington, Georgia. The book has a 1982 copyright date, appears to be a first edition and has been signed by the author, with an inscription. Written by a Baptist minister's wife, the book details her life story and especially her seven-year battle with cancer and the role her faith played in the battle (see photo #6 for contents and the last photo for information about the author). The original dust jacket is included. This is a rare, possibly unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay or anywhere else. The book is approx. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" and contains 89 pages. It is in very good condition. The blue hard cover has no wear, the gold words on the front and spine still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are mostly clean. The author's inscription and signature appear inside the front cover. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have yellowed slightly but are otherwise mostly clean. I see no writing in the book other than the author's. The dust jacket has no large tears but does have a short edge tear along the top edge. It has browned slightly and has some light soiling. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
