INCREDIBLE PAIR MID CENTURY MODERN OLIVE GREEN AQUA DRIP LAVA GLAZE TABLE LAMPS

Description: If you've been looking for an out of the ordinary matched pair of mcm green and aqua drip glazed lamps from the 1960's like no other, here they are! Large bulbous sexy curvaceous pottery vessels with an olive/avocado green bottom shiny glaze, covered in a lighter aqua drip with chunks of gritty lava added to the mix! My little niece said they looked like Mylanta with ground up Cocoa Puffs added and then poured over the lamp bodies! They are highly unusual and very unique. I've never seen another pair like them, nor has anyone else that has seen them, and chances are you haven't either! They will be the rage of your living room, rec room, den, bedroom or wherever you plan to display them! There is no maker's label. It has been suggested they may possibly be by Royal Haeger, Phil-Mar Lamp of Cleveland, OH, or perhaps West German pottery. None others like them have been found for reference. Lamps are bold and large, just shy of 40" tall with shades. The pottery is excellent with no cracks, chips, repairs, and the gold hardware is excellent showing minimal patina, The vintage shades are near excellent, but they, like the lamps, are very vintage and show minor signs from decades of usage. The whole presentation is so astounding that small cosmetic issues will never be noticed! Both are in good working condition using a standard socket, light bulb, and brown cord, original Shades are 18" tall white linen with matching dark green and aqua ribbon trim. Due to the rarity of these particular lamps, the price will be set accordingly but will be negotiable. Although the lamps and shades appear very clean, they are an estate find so please keep in mind they could have been exposed to smoke and other household, storage odors over their previous decades of existence. Seriously though, there is nothing detracting with the lamps. Age is estimated to date from the late 1950's to the early 1960's. The lamps will need to be packed in separate cartons, and the shades in a third large oversized box, assuming you do want to have them included. This will be difficult for the automated ebay shipping calculators to interpret, so I am going to enter a flat $120 shipping to any Continental 48 zip code via Fedex. They will need a lot of packing material. If the selling price is where I'd like it to be, I'll cover any extra shipping charges incurred. Please do not be discouraged by the shipping cost!
