There are many different variations of the Watkins woofer, some have a paper cone and some have a poly cone. This auction is for the paper cone Watkins woofer. Also these woofer have different dust caps. This kit will come with 3.75" hard felt dust caps, if you need the 2.75" or 4.5" just let us know when ordering and we will send them instead.Please make sure you know what you have and need before ordering. You can also send us pictures of your woofers if needed.Woofer #’s include:– Watkins woofers with paper cones.Model #’s include:– 1001A, 2000 II, 2000A, 2000AXT (some versions), 3000, 4000, 5000, Monitor IIA, Monitor Jr, Quantum Line Source Speakers (that used the paper cones woofers) and more. Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers: Refoaming Instructions 2 Foam Surrounds (F12-2) Shims for centering the 2" voice coils Two 3.75" Felt Dust Caps (If you need the 2.75" or 4.5" dust caps, just let us know) 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Foam Surround Adhesive *It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing.
