Description: I don't know about you, but I get an overwhelming feeling of awe when I am actually holding something that was made 150 years ago. To me, collecting is momentary immortality. This J F Wileman Antique Earthenware Plate in the Seasons pattern, has some wear, as you might imagine, so please examine the photos carefully as they constitute part of the description. But I'd like to look so good at 150+ years. The plate, 9-1/2 inches across, harvest scene with wagon, nesting birds and branches of flowers with a brown border. Don't know if it's Fall or Spring - what do you think? I love the imperfections of transfer ware. Plate is marked J.F. Wileman, Swallow, Foley Potteries, Staffordshire, and has a registration mark that dates to 1870 to 1892.
