We were good friends and fished together a fair amount in those days. I painted the painting for a donation to a tribute dinner an organization in Seabrook gave for Jack, just before he died a few years ago. He actually didn't make it to the dinner because of his final illness, so he never saw the painting. Anyway, it was intended as my personal tribute to him. He was a great friend and mentor to me. I've always been sorry that he didn't get to see the painting, but I've decided to share it with some of his fans with this giclee print." Herb Booth
