Description: One Two-Yd Cut and One One-Yard Cut of "Kasuri" of Japanese boro sashiko. "Boro" is Japanese patchwork; "Sashiko" is Japanese embroidery stitchwork. This is the fabric design, not actual patchwork. The "patches" are squares, stripes, irregular rectangles. The striped two-yard cut is made up long wide stripes with blue, and blue and white textures; Over that are long branches, leaves, and honey-comb shapes in blues, browns, tan, and natural white. The one-yard piece has a more traditional patchwork design with a textured grayish purple and dark navy. The patchwork pieces have dark navy or grayed lavender backgrounds. The navy backgrounds are garden florals in several colors. The grayed lavender pieces are patterned with shapes made up of white dots or blotches of white, green, red. Rare, OOP. Made in Japan. Have been stored in a plastic bin in a smoke-free, pet-free household. I will wrap and mail carefully.
