Please excuse any glare in the photos. This item is made from bronze, with gilded accents. The handle is shaped like a vase. The opposite end has a pointed tip. Decoration includes birds, flowers, and pomegranates. This item is approximately 14 1/4 inches long. Unpacked, it weighs 4.2 ounces. It would be a wonderful addition to a collection of antique Asian decorative arts. Identification This Japanese piece is unmarked. It is believed to be antique, from the Meiji period, but the exact age is not known. Condition This item looks very good overall. It has minor finish wear, and there are lighter and darker areas.
