This listing is for a colorful woodblock of a kabuki actor descending stairs. He is wearing a 2-tone blue kimono with lotus flower accents and a green & white sash with matching blossom. Behind him is a hanging large medallion, snow falling and red smoke with tree covered with snow. This has come from a large collection of woodblocks that I will be listing separately. I have no working knowledge of the Japanese language and cannot translate the characters on this woodblock. There are is black Japanese character lettering and a red stamp on the print. The woodblock print itself is approx. 10" by 11 1/4". It is mounted on large card stock paper that meas. approx. 13 1/4" by 14 7/8", and has a attached paper mat. The back of the stock paper has a black number 12. The woodblock is in very good condition with crisp images and vivid colors. This will be packed and shipped in a rigid box (18 x 14 x 5), weight is 1 pound 12 ounces.
