Jessye Norman Sacred Songs Philips 412 085-1 French Tresors Classiques Press VG+

Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Jessye Norman, The Ambrosian Singers and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Alexander Gibson titled "Sacres Chants (Sacred Songs), originally released in 1981 by Philips of France, then reissued in 1984 as part of Philips' "Tresors Classiques" series of releases. This release has a gate-fold cover presentation, made in France and imported into the United States. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as Very Good because of a one seam split on the top of the back cover, corner blunts, spine roll on the front cover and sticker residue on the top right hand corner of the front cover. The spine has some damage at the corners from these blunts, resulting in color loss and some fraying to one of the corners. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like new condition, without any surface scratches, scuffs, sleeve marks, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record between Very Good Plus and Excellent because of occasional ticking and low level surface noise, never over-powering the music or vocals.
