Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by Jethro Tull titled "Hymn 43 b/w Mother Goose", originally released in 1971 by Reprise Records. I bought this single used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for 45 RPM singles, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The archival inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax between the labes and the end of the tracks, is machine stamped an upper case "T", followed by the matrix numbers 1-C/1-D, indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at Columbia Records' pressing plant, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded between Good Plus (Side Two) and Very Good Plus (Side One), because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, along with a scuff at the very beginning of Side Two. I'm play grading Side One of this record as Good Plus because of occasional low levels of surface noise and sibilance, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. Side Two has 30 seconds of ticking at the beginning after which it plays close to Near Mint. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially an original Terre Haute pressing. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. Please read all descriptions and look at all pictures, as this is a final sale and I do not accept returns. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for more that 50 years and always clean them before and after playback to keep them in a pristine condition. I try to describe them to the best of my ability and use record grading guidelines like the Goldmine rating system as reference. Since retiring, I've begun to sell my very esoteric collection via my Ebay store (bobsanalogemporium) and will offer discounts for multiple sales. I always pack the items for sale in an archival inner sleeve, then put them in either a Kraft paper bubble mailer with sturdy cardboards or cardboard record mailers, always with the records separate from the jackets or its original picture sleeve, then sandwiched between sturdy cardboards before shipping. Please read all descriptions carefully and note all pictures before-hand, as I do not accept returns. Please visit my Ebay store for records, 45's, cassette tapes and comics of all different genres. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you viewing my listing.
