Description: For your consideration is a John Rogers group entitled "Fighting Bob". It isa reproduction of the Fighting Bob sculpted by John Rogers in 1889. The sculpture is cast in resin and is one of a few castings made by a dealerof antiques in Mamaroneck, NY. He purchased an original Fighting Bob and made reproductions in white resin and brown resin with a bronze finish. I wasasked to paint a white on in a Rogers color and the one in this listing is thatstatue. The color is the correct Rogers color for this group and unless you look under this statue one can't tell that it's resin. The material is moredurable than the original plaster casting. It also displays well. It is heavier than the original plaster so I prefer that the sculpture be pickedup rather than risk damaging it during shipment.
