Description: Rare Jose Calavaza Zuni 24" Pendant Necklace Turquoise Coral Solid Sterling Silver Teardrop 925 Paperclip Chain Southwestern Jewelry 30.4g Details: Very fine condition vintage solid sterling silver, natural turquoise, & coral pendant necklace by Zuni silversmith Jose Calavaza includes what appears to be the original 24" paperclip link chain. Recesses on pendant retain original patina. The 2.25" tall teardrop pendant features coral & turquoise bezel-set stones on a patterned background, all surrounded by a vibrant striated edge. A ridged leaf or shell & 2 small raindrops add interest & visually balance the design. The 24" long chain made of alternating paperclip & small round links allows the wearer to choose their desired necklace length. Pendant reverse is smooth sterling & stamped "JOSE CALAVAZA ZUNI". Properly working spring ring clasp is stamped "925". Comes in a nice paperboard gift box with a square of protective jewelry padding. The item is enclosed in a plastic bag with a black tarnish prevention strip. Storing jewelry with silver content in a bag like this keeps moisture off the piece and should minimize silver oxidation.
