Josie and the Pussycats was a fictitious all-girl pop group that toured the world with their entourage, getting mixed up in strange adventures, spy capers and mysteries. Each episode would find the Pussycats and crew on the way to perform a gig in some exotic location. Somehow, they would accidentally find themselves mixed up in an adventure/mystery. The group consists of lead singer/guitarist Josie McCoy, tambourinist Valerie Brown, and drummer Melody Valentine. Other characters included their shady manager, Alexander Cabot III; his conniving sister, Alexandra; her cat, Sebastian, and roadie Alan Mayberry. All can be seen in this terrific production cel setup. Seeing the entire cast all on one cel is pretty rare! The cel was hand-painted at Hanna-Barbera's ink and paint department on 12 field acetate.
