"EVIDENCE of the TRUTH OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION, Derived from the Literal Fulfllment of PROPHECY, Particularly as Illustrated by the HISTORY OF THE JEWS and by the Discoveries of the Recent Traveller", by Alexander Keith, D.D.; issued in tan decorative cover with gold lettering on spine; approx. size 7.75" x 5" x 1"; 395 pp. No printing date is indicated but it appears circa 1800's -- there is an owner's name, address, and "April, 1866" date marked in pencil on one of the front end pages [the pencil was invented in 1795]. This is a worn but still serviceable copy: the cover has scuffs and bumps and fraying at the corners; there are coffee stains to the pages (and the fore edges of the front and back covers) with readability unaffected; the front pastedown and fep has another owner's name and date (1940); the title page and first several text pages has an embossed stamp; there are several glue breaks to the text block within; otherwise there are no loose or missing pages and all text is legible.
