An overly-hydrated hoof loses its elasticity and shock absorption ability, Kera-Prep is the ideal first step in hoof protection. It should be followed by an application of Kevlar Tuff Hoof Guard Sealant, but not required. Application: IMPORTANT - The hoof should be free of dirt and other contaminants. Apply to the sole and lower half of the hoof. Be sure to avoid the coronary band and frog. Apply twice daily for three days, before applying Kevlar Tuff Hoof Guard, if the hoof is overly hydrated. For general hoof maintenance, use weekly.
