He was the third of five sons of King Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine The quote "Once more into the breach, dear friends" is taken from William Shakespeare's play Henry V, Act III, Scene I. One of Shakespeare's most rousing and iconic speeches, the words have inspired motivational speeches everywhere from Independence Day to Star Trek and the speech remains a masterclass in rhetoric language to this day. Face Pot is from a large Kevin Francis collection. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing observed. Displays very well, as depicted.
