Keystone Stereoview Site Where Stanley Found Livingston From 1200 Card Set #811

Description: This is an excellent Stereo card of the monument at the spot where Stanley found Dr. Livingston. It is from a Keystone “Tour of the World” 1200 card set from the 1930's. The card is titled "Monument Marking the Spot Where Henry Morton Stanley Found Dr. Livingston, Ujiji, Tanganyika Territory, Africa." and is numbered 811 with a Keystone negative number of 20766. This card was included in the Rare 1200 card set, but not the more common 600, 300, or 100 card sets so it is much harder to find than the more common cards that were included in these smaller sets. This card is in excellent to near mint condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject. Please note that due to the flash used when I photographed these cards, the printed title at the bottom looks a little washed out in some pictures and a few have a little glare. The Stereoviews are fine with the title just as dark and clear as the rest of the printing on the card. I will be listing more Stereoviews on a regular basis, so check back for more views. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
