Description: Price Reduced. Korean Karate: The Art of Tae Kwon Do by Duk Sung Son and Robert J Clark is a first edition in 1968, but had its third printing in September, 1972. This is a hardback book, but does not have its dust cover. The book and its pages are in very good shape with no bends, marks, highlighting or ripped pages. Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that is considered unarmed, where feet and hands are considered the weapons. In Japan this art is known as Karate, and in Okinawa it is called Okinawa-te, and in China it is called Kempo. All similar in form but little is known of the origin and early development of these arts. This book provides the basics as well as all the moves and exercises to successfully perform Tae Kwon Do. Though it may take as many as five years to become proficient, this book is a wonderful compliment to any student of this martial art. Free shipping in the U.S.
