Description: Rare silver plated TRINKET BOX FROM THE DECEMBER 1959 HARRAH'S TAHOE GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW SOUTH SHORE ROOM STARRING RED SKELTON. I also included some pictures of the history of Harrah's from Wikipedia. Most of the history talks about Red Skelton and how he was the first comedian to be in the grand opening of the South Shore Room of Harrahs. The silver plate is original and has not been polished. HARD TO GET A GOOD PICTURE without correct lighting, BUT THE LID IS ENGRAVED with the following; GRAND OPENING TAHOE HARRAH'S NEW SOUTH SHORE ROOM STARRING RED SKELTON DECEMBER 1959. THIS IS A FAIRLY RARE PIECE AND WAS NOT SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY FOR A VERY LONG PERIOD OF TIME. Inside is plastic and inscribed and good condition says inside Dodge Inc. La Chi NY CB 2 Has a long secure hinge on the silver over brass. The outside measures 5 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide by 2 inches tall.
