Description: This is a large vintage handmade crucifix in a rough-hewn arts and crafts style. This measures 12 1/4 inches tall. The cross itself is made from two solid tree branches and is put together with nails. The corpus appears to be made of an older heavy plastic or similar material, and it has nice detail. There is a small amount of soiling from age, mostly on Jesus's hands, but I will leave it to the buyer to decide whether and how to clean it. Even the nails show some age and the simplicity of the construction. This crucifix is such a contrast -- the greatest event in the history of the world, represented by the simplest and most unassuming wooden cross.
