Description: True vintage late 1960's - early 1970's black velvet dress with gold braid trim. Condition is excellent. No holes, tears, stains or odors. The fabric is a plush velvet. Style is a cross between MOD and Edwardian. V-shaped neckline is trimmed with gold braid. Long sleeves have ruffles at the wrists. Sleeves are slightly puffed at the shoulders. There is a generous 1 1/2" hem allowance that is finished with black tape. Sleeves have covered elastic at the cuffs and at the waist also. The elastic still has good stretch. Dress has NOT been cleaned. It is pictured on a vintage mannequin which wears a modern size 2 and is about 5' 8" tall. The measurements of this dress were taken lying flat. Best fit would be for body measurements 1 - 2 inches smaller. Please see photos and details above and compare to a dress which fits you well.
