Description: This is an unusual tool called a Palamarka from Bulgaria. The tool is hand craved from wood and is formed to fit the outer 3 fingers like a glove. A wooden hook is on the end, so grain can be held with the left arm and the right arm would use a sickle to then cut the grain. The Palamarka protects the fingers from being cut from the sickle. The Palamarka is in good condition with a little crack on the side and minor scratches due to use and age.
