LATEX BOTTLE WRIST SEAL (PRE-GLUED)

Description: These bottle wrist seals are pre-glued (inside or outside ) depending which way you need to mount onto your drysuit. You will see band of glue we've treated to seal and you purchase the seal like as in pictures. Glue, we used is a special glue if you applied heat on it then it becomes a liquid and therefore you can stick on to your suit .Seam Roller and tape are not include with pre-glued wrist seals. The pre-glued seals are heat activated adhesive which require a hair dryer. heat gun or domestic iron to be apply the heat to activate the glue. It is a great alternative when you are unable to obtain the glue locally or have restrictions due to it being a hazardous product or for purchasing internationally. This system works with Membrane-Trilaminate suits and some other fabric suits(Kayaking-sailing). NOTE: If you mounting the seal inside sleeves ,you should purchase pre-glued/outside seal. If you’re applying on outside of suit select PRE-GLUED to the inside of the seals. Instructions to Replace Seal All you need to find piece of cardboard or chipboard large enough to fit inside the suit in order to hold the sleeve as flat as possible. Cut off perished or torn seal from the connection point to drysuit sleeve (just under tape-leave 2cm). Turn to suit sleeve inside-out, if you mounting the seal inside of sleeve . Put the seal through over inside suit tape (2cm-2.5cm over) Apply the seal by applying heat to activate the glue and use a seam roller for a good pressure down after that check edges if its coming away ,not stick strongly then apply 15-20 sec heat again . After you applied heat for both sides of sleeves ,Now you should rotate your cardboard 90 degrees for missed piece at the end . You can use T5500 reinforcement tape all the way around and apply heat on it ,you can use a seam roller after heat applied for a professional finish. Don't start pulling the seal after job done :) because still glue will be hot just let it cool down for couple of hours.NOTE: If you using domestic IRON ,turn of steam function off (no water) and need full heat .Don't forget to put a piece of cloth lay over the seal while you applying heat on it.If the suit is a surface type of suit or fabric not as membrane-trilaminate suit ,you may need to use a heat shield for protect the fabric from the heat.If your suit is a membrane-trilaminate drysuit so you should have no problem, you are not going to damage it with excessive heat.
