Laura Geller products are baked powders, therefore, they can be used dry or wet. The wet application will give you a more intense color and coverage, hence the sponge brush. The opposite end of the brush has synthetic fibers that grab the color and layer it on the cheek, chin, tip of the nose, forehead, etc. The compact brush covers larger surfaces and is great on the go. I have tested all of the brushes and they are in good condition, I say this because I didn’t know one had a sponge end. I have retired and I am downsizing my own personal cosmetics that are authentic and were purchased from reputable retailers.
