They have charming yellow eyes in the center of each flower. They don't have much of a scent. They have dark green foliage which emerges a lighter color close to chartreuse in spring. Their serrated oval-shaped leaves become dark green throughout the fall and winter. For being a flowering cultivar, it's surprisingly a low maintenance and beginner friendly species for those that are new to growing bonsai. It makes for a fabulous subject for those that wish to see some color in a sunny spot around their home or office.
