Description: LE CREUSET STONEWARE ENAMELED CASSEROLE/BAKING DISH WITH LID. Capacity is 2.5 quarts. The color seems to be rare. It is deeper than Cerise and Flame, but not as dark as Rhone. Similar to a burgandy color. In any event, the color is amazing. The shape also seems out-of-the ordinary. Very beautiful, eyecatching and stunning Le Creuset piece. I have not been able to find this casserole/baking dish in this shape and lid formation in Le Creuset's current selection, or anywhere else on the Internet. This likely is a discontinued and somewhat rare item. The 4-quart measures 15" in length; 11 inches in width, 4" in height without the lid on; and 7" in height with the lid. The rim surrounding the piece makes it easy to transfer from kitchen to table. Although the baking dish is not in its original manufacturer packaging, it is brand new and has never been used at all. As you can see from the picture, the bottom tag is still attached. I tend to buy/collect Le Creuset just for its beauty even though I never use it. It has no chips or cracks and is in pristine condition. This is your chance to get an unused Le Creuset for far less than the retail price of a comparable piece. Oven and broiler safe up to 500 degrees. Dishwasher safe, but handwashing is recommended. Not suitable for stovetop.
