Description: One of the greatest trumpeters of the post-bop era, Lee Morgan died aged only 33 in 1972. I believe this live recording was made for FM broadcast in the summer of 1970, immediately before he made his classic 1971 album Live At The Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, and was also released under the name Speedball. Featuring Bennie Maupin (tenor sax), Harold Mabern (piano), Jymie Merritt (bass), and Mickey Roker (drums). The sleeve and vinyl are both in very good (VG+) condition. The sleeve has some edge wear and minor bumps on the corner (see photos) but overall is clean and strong. The vinyl looks clean and really minor surface wear that does not affect play.
