Mr. Sandoval needs no introduction to those in the world of music. He is known as a trumpet and flugel virtuoso, and is widely considered one of the greatest players of all time. Legends Brass is honored to offer these pieces to our customers! This mouthpiece is based on Mr. Sandoval's personal Bach Mt. Vernon 3C mouthpiece, which he allowed us to scan. The rim is identical to his, and the cup shape is identical, but the cup depth on the Legends model is slightly more shallow. The throat is a #23, which is very open. The backbore is the Legends Chicago which plays really big and dark, but can sizzle when pushed. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
