Description: Leica M1 camera outfit from 1961 in excellent working condition. Camera body is in excellent shape with no dents or dings, and complete original vulcanite. Chrome finish shows some minor signs of use as shown in the pictures. Shutter speeds sound accurate. Viewfinder is clear as shown in picture. Lens is a collapsible 50mm f/2 and comes with lid and a UV filter as shown. Glass is clean. I was unable to unscrew the filter from the lens. Leicameter works but cannot attest to the accuracy of the read; may require adjustment. Battery not included. Visoflex II system includes two different viewers. Optics are clear. Come with boxes except for the right angle viewer. Leather case is in fair shape, with the front and back pieces detached as seen in photos. Pieces can be snapped together but the case would require re-stitching to be operational. Included to protect the camera. For those who are not familiar with the Leica M1, it is the body of an M2 but lacks the rangefinder function. It has only the viewfinder, but contains the frame lines and are parallax corrected as any Leica M. Other than the lack of rangefinder, it is as good as any Leica M. Only 9,431 M1s were made from 1959 to 1965. An external rangefinder can be mounted on the flash shoe, or some people have it converted to a rangefinder. The Visoflex attachment basically converts it into an SLR with the approrpriate lenses.
