Description: A total of 6 Lenox Westchester fruit/dessert/sauce bowls. While they all look the same the Lenox mark on the back of the bowls are different. Two are Presidential Collection and indicate they are dishwasher safe and the other 4 are vintage from the late 70’s or later. The Lenox Westchester pattern is accentuated with a wide, exquisite gold encrusted trim. It is refined, elegant and designed to complement other tableware. Westchester is referred to as the Presidential Collection as Lenox China has been the selected china in the White House for six different presidents. Lenox was founded in 1889 with a singular vision to set the highest standards for quality, artistry and beauty. Lenox is considered to be the finest porcelain by most experts. It was the only manufacturer of bone china in the United States. Bone china is stronger and has a more delicate appearance and a translucent quality than the best basic porcelain. While these particular bowls have never been used and are in very good condition they have been moved 3 times and may have minor scratches commiserate with age and packing. There are no chips, cracks or flea bites. I am the original owner.
