Liggett's vintage empty chocolate box

Description: This is an original vintage 2-pc. cardboard box for Liggett's chocolates, with the original inner paper for the candy still present; otherwise, the box is empty. The lid of the box is padded; with the lid on, the box measures approximately 5 3/4" long, 4 5/8" wide, and 1 1/8" high. Based on the graphics and comparing them to the graphics on old advertising for Liggett's chocolates, this box likely dates from before 1940, but I do not know when it was actually produced. Overall, the box is in fair vintage condition. As my photos clearly show, this box looks nice overall but does have a lot of wear, including surface & edge rubbing, chipping & layering in the corners, wrinkles, pressure indentations, brown stains, and a few small tears. The inner vellum-type paper also has noticeable wear, wrinkles, and stains.
