The maximum diameter of a round knob that can be secured with this device is 2-7/16 in. outside diameter. This lock-out device will not work on knobs that are larger than 2-7/16 in. in diameter. Note that the shaft cut-out is oval/oblong in shape and measures 1-3/4 in. x 1-1/2 in., and it may fit loosely over some door knobs with round, slender shafts.
