Brass has an aged warm patina. It is in good vintage condition. It is an estate piece. See photos for full description. It was made in the US by Freirich in or about 1960. Signed Freirich on back of brooch pin hardware bar, pin is blocking it in photo. Freirich began in France as “Maison David” where it made hats, buttons and other accessories for Dior and Channel. It was purchased by Solomon Freidrich in 1922. It began making high quality costumes jewelry using the Maison David name. In the 1960’s it began producing high quality jewelry in the a United States, using the Freirich brand. It closed its business 1990.
