Description: Lionel Post war 027 Gauge Santa Fe Diesel engine #2243 with a companion "B" unit #2243C. This pair of is from a one owner since purchase. It has not been used in many years but was carefully stored. The engine was tested and is in good working condition including the interior light. An original Lionel box for the "B" unit is included with Lionel package paper from the box. One flap of the box shows wear in the form of tears and a missing piece. A set of original directions is also included. The trains are in very good condition showing some minor paint wear, a few scratches and nicks. Please see the photos for condition. The horn battery compartment is shown in photos and it was stored with the battery removed.This is a "Magne-Traction"vehicle which was produced during a time of high Lionel train popularity. The trains could benefit from a thorough cleaning and lubrication maintenance. I personally enjoyed the Santa Fe growing up but it is now time for someone to have the same opportunity.
