Description: 1936 Crescent Pictures starring Tom Keene as a US Army Captain sent to California in 1850 just after it became a state as there is trouble between the Mexicans and newer white settlers, he tries to keep the peace and romances young Rita Hayworth whose Mexican family owns a ranchero. Rita was still going by her birth last name, Cansino, as her father was from Spain, but she changed it to Hayworth a year later. Note that this film was re-released in 1946, 10 years later, renamed Lady From Frisco and Rita given full headline billing as she was about the biggest star in Hollywood by then.
