Some common names, including Mexican lobelia, Sierra Madre lobelia, Mexican cardinalflower, looseflowers lobelia, and drooping lobelia. It can grow to 2 feet tall and 15 inches wide. The leaves can vary in size, shape, and texture depending upon age. The inflorescence can reach up to 2 feet tall with several flowers out at one time. The flowers bloom from mid-summer until early fall and are around 2-3 inches long, usually red, orange, and yellow. It can grow in full sun, part shade, and light shade. Zones 7-10 Germination Sow seeds on top of the medium, tamp seeds down, and do not cover with soil. Mist the seeds several times a day while keeping the soil moist in a bright spot. Keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination can be erratic for 7-90 days.
