With a dedicated second dial, oversized lugs, and simple, graphic hour markers, this is a great-looking, mid-century watch with a solid (not plated, rolled or filled) 14K gold case that will retain it's great looks for years to come. When it was introduced in the late 1940s, this watch was called the 4902 (for the watch case number) but was later included in Elgin's Henslee line. It was produced through at least the mid-1950's. Most models came with the 556 movement, but 556 was discontinued in the early 1950s, so some later models, like ours, have the 680 movement which was produced from 1951 to 1954.
