He was educated at the local primary school and later at Cults Academy, after which he graduated from RGIT in Electronic Engineering.As well as North East Scotland, he has also lived and worked in London and Glasgow. By profession he is a computer software developer. Nowadays Colin lives in Aberdeens Midstocket area, with his wife Fiona – a native of Cairnbulg – and her golden retrievers Honey and Cara. When not working at his job, or promoting Scots, his main interests are other languages, travel, and his music collection.
