Though recent relations have been icy, Cuba has long been a playground for American tourists and foreigners alike. Cuba was a colony of the Spanish empire until the end of the Spanish-American War in 1898, whereupon it became an American protectorate briefly before independence. This political map from 1919 shows the provinces of Cuba and city names as they were known to cartographers at the time. Approximate measurements are 11” x 14” x < 0.1” unframed. · The map has been expertly salvaged from the original deteriorated atlas. This item is ready for framing or other uses. It will arrive in a rigid mailer to protect the item’s integrity. This item makes a great gift and is likely to add unique charm to any collection.
