We took it a step farther with this D-42 inspired Custom Shop build, adding highly figured Quilted Pommele Sapele to the top, back, and sides from a matching set of wood that Ish's design team found while digging through the wood vault at the Martin factory. The wood choice isn't just stunningly beautiful - it also sounds incredible. This D-42 has a dark-but-clear voice, perfect for those of you who only own Spruce topped dreadnoughts and are looking for a different tone.
