Description: Maxfield Parrish "THANKSGIVING"Limited-Edition Print - 16" x 20"Ready to Frame Includes Certificate of Authenticity (COA) Hand-Numbered in Pencil* This was Maxfield Parrish's original artwork that appeared on the cover of the November 20, 1909 issue of COLLIER'S magazine. (See final photo. The magazine issue is not included with this auction.)The actual piece you are buying is from an authorized limited-edition (500 copies only) offset print run that was done in 1976. After the 500 were produced, the plate was destroyed. It is hand-numbered in pencil*, and it comes with its original Certificate of Authenticity. The artwork is printed by offset lithography on high-quality, heavy-stock, off-white textured matte paper -- not on thin/glossy poster paper. It is NOT FRAMED. (The black around the edge of the picture is just the photo backdrop.) Please note that the artist's initials (M-P), and the date (1909) are part of the lithography; only the print number is done in pencil. (Obviously ... this is a posthumous run; the artist died in 1966.) Likewise, the COA is printed -- including the notarial signature and rubber stamp -- and just the individual print number was added in blue ink. PRINT DIMENSIONS: Approx. 16" x 20" (The COA is standard 8-1/2" x 11".) CONDITION: - Immaculate just as it came off the press: NO folds, wrinkles, dog-ears, moisture damage, smudges, bad smells, or any other sign of abuse. - Also, no age issues from exposure to air such as foxing. (Why? This print was carefully stored between paper for over 40 years by the previous owner, who never had it framed.) IMPORTANT - SHIPPING: Your print will be carefully rolled and shipped in a 4" dia. mailing tube. If you prefer to have it shipped flat, please contact me before you bid or purchase, and I will need to provide you with a precise shipping estimate for your Zip code. (It will be a higher shipping cost.)*What specific number will be on the print? I purchased a number of these prints, all from the same run of 500, all identical and from the same collector's estate. The photos are all accurate, since all the prints are identical. However, the specific number penciled on your print will not be the same as the one you see pictured. It will, of course be in the range of 1-500, and it will match the number on the COA that comes with it. PLEASE SUPERSIZE ALL PHOTOS, AND ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING/BUYING. I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER. [ ALL ABOUT SHIPPING... ]DON'T OVERPAY FOR SHIPPING: U.S. purchasers, you can choose from various shipping options in this listing.
